Although many of our candidates were not elected to office as we had hoped and prayed, it is exciting to announce that our candidate, Jaime Herrara, that we and others worked so hard to get elected, was a winner! It was a great pleasure to work for such a woman of integrity and who supports our homeschooling efforts and values. We are looking for great things from her.
Unfortunately, our other candidate, Dino Rossi, was unable to defeat a firmly ensconced senatory, Patty Murray. He conceded to her on Thursday following election day. There were many other candidates that we supported and prayed would win that actually won in our county, but it was not enough to win the election. In this state, given its liberal lean, whoever wins in King County where most of the population is centered, often wins the state. However, we were excited over the Herrara win and the wins of many Republicans across the country. We have been privileged and excited to campaign this year and are hoping to do so again in the upcoming 2012 election too.
May you be blessed today and this week.
