And, the other jazz band, Beginning Jazz or more affectionately called Baby Jazz, performed this last Thursday at a Jazz Fest much closer to home. Farmer Girl plays trombone in it and they performed three songs including this one in the video below called Ghostrider and Over the Rainbow. This was NOT a competition, but an adjudication where judges listen, make comments into a tape and meet with them later, telling them what they did right, what they did wrong and what they need to work on. It is highly beneficial and can be very encouraging. Our adjudicator was very nice and friendly. He asked how many times a week we practice and when he found out just once a week, said, "Shut Up" in disbelief that we could manage to sound this good practicing so infrequently and immediately warming our hearts towards him. He had many good things to say and it was very productive for all. We hope you enjoy listening to them as much as we did!
