Missoula's Snow White

Farmer Girl loves to try out for Missoula Children's Theatre each and every January when they come to town. This year it was, "Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs". Tryouts happened on Monday and, thus, began a whirlwind week of rehearsals every day leading up to the  two performances on Saturday. After a very busy week, today was the day. I attended the matinee and both Bob and The Graduate went this evening. It is amazing what they are able to accomplish with a group of 50-60 kids in less than a week. Singing, dancing, and lines to memorize and lots of fun. Farmer Girl told me her favorite part is the week leading up to the performances, from the camaraderie backstage to the laughs and fun as they learn their lines and moves on stage. She always makes new friends and always becomes more comfortable on stage. It's a great experience and a wonderful introduction to the world of performing arts.
The Black Forest Creatures
If you don't remember the Black Forest Creatures from your Grimm's Fairy Tales that is because Missoula tends to re-write their stories often adding other characters to make room for more roles and often changing the story.
Being silly creatures

The Entire Cast

The Seven Dwarfs

Being mad at their props

The Backwards King and his daughter, Snow White.
A good friend's daughter got the lead role, Snow White, which is particularly nice since it is her last year for Missoula. A fitting way to end her time performing in their theatrical productions. She did a great job. There were several other friends and acquaintances in it too. It's community theatre at it's best!
