Arriving at the ski resort, we walked to the rental building. Filling out release of liability forms and deciding what to rent took some time. We also considered lessons, but were reassured that we could add them later at the rental hut located next to the"bunny slope". Our resident professional, Heidi, also promised to help our new to snowboarding girls figure it all out once they got on the slopes. Opting to snowboard first, and perhaps changing to skis once later, we began the fitting process. No one ever said putting on those ski boots with all that winter gear on was easy! You could be worn out just from getting dressed!
Farmer Girl preferred a pink board but they could not accommodate her this time. It was just a boring gray or was it brown?
This was her first chance to wear her new hat from her aunt. Isn't it cute?
The helmet which I made her get and wear did not fit quite well with the hat and its large pom pom on top!
(Remember later that I insisted she wear her helmet. Being nurses, we are sometimes accused of being overly protective.......)
Ready to go and heading out to the slopes!
Tune in later for pictures of their escapades on the slopes-bunny and otherwise!
