| Debating or instructing? |
We began on the bunny slope with the rope tow for beginners.
Farmer Girl fell her first time when she finally worked up the courage to go for it. There is definitely a learning curve. Your urge is to grab hold as tight as you can when what you need to do is let it slide through your grip. She gripped hard and fell over. She also knocked into a toddler/preschooler type with her snowboard. Oops. She felt so bad when the child started crying....in Farmer Girl's defense, the attendant had been telling the child over and over again to move back away from the line.

| This is how it is done! |

| Waiting for the right moment. |
 |
| She does it this way since she is lefthanded. |
 |
| Got it! |
 |
| Together towards the top. |
 |
| Moving closer to the top. |
 |
| Falling at the top. |
Now, granted, these are not all at the same time. I don't think she fell at the top on her first attempt, but she did fall numerous times as well as make it successfully many times.

Sometimes they just rested at the top.
Sometimes they were given unsolicited, but helpful advice too. |
 |
Sometimes they rested on the bench and captured snippets
of advice from instructors or others. |
This snowboarding stuff is not easy. It is hard work. They could only bind one foot in on the ride up, then bind in the other at the top, and then snowboard down, oftentimes falling numerous times and requiring assistance or unbinding to get back up. Once at the bottom, they had to start the process all over again. You can understand why going up in the chairlift to higher heights would be more fun. Less binding and unbinding and longer distances to go before doing it all over again.
Next time, I will share the falling and getting up :)
