God is so good to remind me constantly of His provision. We have been continually blessed since the beginning of our project. First, another homeschooling dad offered to do our excavation without compensation. Another friend drove over 2,000 miles from Georgia to help out and all we had to do was feed him at "Feed Tom Time" and ensure he had cookies and milk at each meal :). We sided, painted, caulked and enjoyed being with him. What a blessing. More recently, a neighbor who paints for a living offered to come and paint our house. He did more in one day than we could accomplish in a week! He has climbed up on the roof and painted where we didn't think we could go. We thought we would have to hire someone to do both the painting and the nailing of the batts on the board and batt. Now we don't. He has also kept us in a steady supply of zucchini, green beans and cucumbers. Tonight, he brought over spicy pickles. YUM. We are nearly finished with the painting thanks to his wonderful generosity and kindness. Tonight, another dear friend of the family spent an afternoon and evening with us, discussing electricity; where to put outlets, switches, kind of lights, etc. Time away from his family (who we dearly love too) and time that will only increase as we get deeper into this part of the project. We thank him and his family for his willingness to come share his talents to bless us. More importantly, we thank God daily for His continued provision of us, for safety, and for knowing when we need the blessing of friends to remind us of His love for us and His continued care. I can rest easy knowing we are held in the palm of His hand. Thank you.
Love Ellie~
