One Big Mess

Isn't this what it looks like: one big mess? This is Farmer Girls view of what is going on in the house. She took these pictures and she always has a new perspective on things! Above is the discarded covers for all the wires for electricity. She had cleaned them up while Bob was working on the box-a very time consuming process as it requires precision and concentration. Below are the multitude of wires coming in from various points in the house. Bob has them carefully labeled although you can't see that.
This is the chaos after entering the fuse box! He had to strip the wires (thus the discard of yellow white and paper covers in the box above after they had littered the floor!
Bob carefully organizing it all. It took hours and his fingers are still hurting from the pulling, the stripping and the twisting. I don't think I could have done it. It was truly beautiful to behold when completed. I don't have a picture but will try and get one posted later.
What do you think of that beard and mustache? He started it on a whim and everyone liked it. He has started to shave it off many times, but then someone will tell him they like it (including us). He trimmed it up this week so is happier with it.
As it gets darker so much sooner and, although, we are nearer and nearer to having electricity in the house, we are still making do with a power cord strung from our current living quarters. Bob purchased a string of lights like this one below and it is providing light when he works into the evening.
And, I will leave you with another mess, this one of wires for a future project--coppper is great for copper sculpturing which Bob will work on once the house is built and he can pursue other things in his workshop (where we currently live!).

Doesn't look like insulation and drywall by the middle of the month, does it? We are now projecting for early November.....would covet prayers for our stamina and our attitudes. We are tired and sometimes discouraged. Bob is at a point where we can't do much for him and he often feels like he is the only one building the house. He actually is in reality, but we try to keep him fed, clean up, help with decisions and do on-line searches and orders for what we need, trying to find the good deals etc. He is working his "day job" every day including today, Saturday, and then working into the evening every day. We are glad we are 'dried in" and can work in a relatively dry although cold area. Today it is raining and our yard is full of puddles. He is also not sleeping well as he wakes up, thinking about all he has to do and working out the details in his head. Once he gets started, he is often awake for good. Please pray for rest for him and progress that is visible and encouraging. Thanks so much.
Ellie~
