Living Nativity

No, this isn't our family at the Living Nativity, but you might recognize someone that belongs to us? No? Well, it is Kiki, our pygmy goat. She, with Farmer Girl, participated in this at a local church bazaar. It was one of two community projects she needs to participate in for 4-H. This was one of the lovely families who came for pictures. I don't know why their dad chose to be a Roman Centurion instead of Joseph though.......

This is a different family obviously, but I wanted you to see Kiki and the two week old calf named JJ who also participated. Have you ever pet a calf? They are really soft. Our goat was terrified of her and did not want to cooperate in later pictures though.

At first glance, did you see or expect to see a lamb in this adorable shepherd's arms? I did, but there weren't any available so the bunny rabbit took its place. Also cute, but does give you pause when you expect something else!
A lovely reminder of the reason of the season on this warm and dry Saturday afternoon.
God bless, Ellie~
