Play-Offs

Farmer Girl (she's number 9) ended her soccer season at 3-3-1 for wins/losses/ties. However, today her team played in the play-offs. They played the red team, a team they have beat, but also one they have lost to as well as tied. (there are only 5 teams total). The red team had the home field advantage, but our girls beat them, 2 to 1. It was an exciting game. They played hard and well. It had rained all morning so the field was muddy and wet and so were the girls by the end of the game! As you can see from the end-of-game huddle, the sun did come out though. It felt great.
I included the one below because I thought it looked funny, almost as if the girl in red is pushing over Ripstick Girl. Of course, that didn't happen....at least I don't think so :) I think this was a moment when the ball got bogged down in a puddle and lost its momentum.

Farmer Girl made this "snack" for her team. It is actually made up of over a dozen chococate cupcakes and discounted after Halloween M and M's. They taste the same regardless of the color! This particular pack had black, green, purple and orange and was a steal at $1.25 a bag.

Tomorrow at noon, Farmer Girl plays again. The winner of that game will play the winner of the game following so could make for a long day........praying for success, clear weather and good sportsmanship all around.
Good night, Ellie~
