Framing: Passed
Tuesday was a busy day around here with plumbers, inspectors, framers and bankers all showing up for a variety of reasons. The plumbers came back to fix a leak that showed up after they pressurized the system. THEN it was good and OK for the inspector to show up :) He passed us on framing, chimney clearance, drywell and plumbing!! There were a few things that needed attention from our framer who was all ready scheduled to come out for the day to tie up some loose ends as well as some insulation issues to address. (Isn't it great how some days everything all comes together?) He had to add a beam missed on original plans-easy fix- shore up a warped wall in our shower, hardie plank a small space under the roof eave, set the pocket door and some other odds and ends. Bob worked on our back porch, setting boards in preparation for the Trex decking eventually. (This is a project for Bob while drywall is happening). The banker showed up to check progress so she can give us our monthly "draw" to pay our contractors. Bob continued to work into the early evening. We have lights powered up now in the house which makes it easier to keep on working. After we passed our electrical inspection, Bob wired the cans to work using the main breaker to turn them on and off. Bob also had to do some vent work for the range hood as well as pull some wire under the house for some floor outlets in the living room. Bob and our framer still have some work to do together like our shower pan, but all in all a good day for progress being made. Next up: Insulation.
