Family Field Day 2011

Waking early in the morning to the sounds of birds singing, crows crowing, and sun shining, we started a breakfast of pancakes, fried apples, and sausage with, of course, coffee in my french press. YUM, it is like liquid chocolate! After food and breaking camp, everyone dispersed on their way to take advantage of the low tides and the warm weather. We rode up to the field where we meet for field day with our co-op group. Others were beginning to arrive and the event commenced. 

It was a great day of fellowship and great way to end the year of our co-op. Our yearbooks were delivered and oohed and aahed over by all. It is always fun to reminisce over the past year events and relive the moments spent together. We had great food and fun. There was volleyball mostly, but also soccer, frisbee and soccer. The little ones played at the playground and there were walks to the beach and the bunkers. We gathered for food and we gathered for a group photo. Griffin did great amongst the many people and enjoyed all the attention. I think he was unaccustomed to the heat, but we all relished it and tried to stay sunburn free. With our upcoming event on Sunday evening, we had to reluctantly call it a day rather early for us. Saying our good-byes, we left around 3'ish, knowing there was much to be done at home. The fun was done! :) Please enjoy the moments and the memories below.
