SLoooooow Second Story

Things are a bit slow this week although we have two walls upstairs. The weather has been crummy with rain and cool temps. Sunday was gourgeous, but it rained that evening and yesterday. Today is cloudy with peaks of sunshine, but still cool. We are praying for no rain so they can accomplish much and our ground doesn't become more saturated with water. It needs a chance to dry out, but the clouds don't look promising.......Of course, it doesn't help that the second story, with it's complicated roof and shed dormers, is a bit more difficult. More contemplation and thinking time required :)
Here are the girls peaking out at me. Farmer Girl is looking from a window that will be in her room in her window seat. The Scribbler is in the window at the top of the stairs in the "loft" area. It does not go to the edge of the first floor as this is a dormer wall.

This is the other side of same wall. You can see where the stairs come up. The space doesn't look that large, but it is larger than I thought. I was a bit worried about having very little room at the top. See how wet it all is?????? The windows are nice and large-much bigger than I thought too.

This is Farmer Girl being silly in front of the other wall. You can kind of see how the angle does not match up with the lower vaulted ceiling in living room, but that is what it is supposed to do-just makes it more difficult :). Also, if you look to the left, you can see how it looks like it is cut off? That is because The Scribbler will have the angled ceiling on the right, but a straight wall on the left. Her window seat will be there as well. They are supposed to be lifting a beam today so we are anxiously watching for that. It's harder to see what is happening since they are working on the second floor. I expect another wall any minute based on the all the pounding :) More soon.
