As promised, here are the painting pictures of Griffin. He attended class for three days, building up to this crowning achievement of getting paint all over his paws and tail (when he SAT in it!). The entire process was very interesting as they worked towards this though. They used positive reinforcement with treats and the "clicker". They introduced the vet wrap and the paper to him, they let him smell the paint and they rewarded any forward paw movement towards the paper. He worked with the same two instructor candidates all week and they enjoyed him. He did get a little "barky" and one day kept pulling them towards the sprinkler and trying to lick the wet grass. They offered him some water and he drank 4 bowls of it. The Scribbler was embarassed, BUT she had offered him some water before class. It just didn't look like it!
Tonight, The Scribbler attended (without Griffin) her orientation for obedience class so we will keep you posted on his progress.
